1.0 INTRODUCTION

The aim of this privacy policy is to inform individuals, the public, about the personal information we collect from you when you use our website, and when you provide us with your personal details. 

The collection and use of your information, and its associated impact on your privacy is protected by law. The GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 sets out the rules about the use of your personal data (identifiable information relating to you). 

By collecting such data, we are acting as a data controller. By law, we are required to share information about Event Crowd, why and how we use and protect your data, and the rights you have over the data we collect from you when accessing our services. 

This policy explains how we comply with relevant laws in relation to your use of the Event Crowd website. When you provide Event Crowd with your data you are agreeing to our privacy policy and you consent to the collection, use and protection of your data, set out within this privacy policy.

We are “Event Crowd”, registered in the United Kingdom as “NEXT LEVEL COURSES” under the company number 12358026. 

Event Crowd is a data controller, and we are registered with the United Kingdom’s Information Commissioner’s Office (The ICO) under the registration number ZB192211.

2.0 HOW WE COLLECT AND USE YOUR DATA

By entering Event Crowd’s website and online services, we obtain your information through various undertakings. 

Your information may be collected via our website (theeventcrowd.com) or when you contact us directly, for example, through our sales or customer service department either online or by email or telephone (please note that our calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes). 

We do not collect, store or make a record of your bank account or credit/debit card details. If you are making staggered payments for Event Crowd services via our payment partner, Knoma, please note that bank details may be held to collect agreed Direct Debit payments. 2.1 PERSONAL DATA

This information we collect from you includes but is not limited to, your first and last name, email address, mobile number, date of birth or age, postal address, employment or academic information, demographic information, a record of your interactions with Event Crowd and cookie data provided.

2.2 DATA WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU AND YOUR DEVICE

Each time you visit the Event Crowd website we may automatically collect your information relating to details of your usage and journey throughout the website, this may include the pages you have visited, the time spent on each page, how you viewed the webpage and the links or images you clicked on.

We may also collect technical information such as the type of device you are using, the IP address and the web browser details. If you have cookies enabled on your device, we will collect cookie information provided. 

2.3 THIRD PARTY INFORMATION

We work closely with third parties, and we may collect, access and analyse data from those parties. To provide an example, we offer payment plans for Event Crowd services through a third party who have authority to share your personal data across both organisations for customer and legitimate interest purposes. 

We may view any records about you that are visible within the public domain such as social media accounts.

2.4 COOKIES

By using the Event Crowd website to view our services or to learn more about our company through the online information that we publicly share, a number of cookies are used by us and third party providers to collect, view and analyse useful information about our website visitors to enable to website to function properly and for user experience to be measured and improved upon.

2.5 SUBMITTING YOUR DATA

This section refers to submitting an enquiry, subscribing to our newsletter or filling out a complete a survey, online, over email or over the phone.

2.5.1 What personal information do we collect?

By submitting an enquiry or subscribing to our newsletter, we ask for your personal details including, but are not limited to, your name, email address, mobile number and date of birth or age. 

This data is processed by the relevant department.

2.5.2 Why do we collect this information?

Event Crowd collects your information for the purpose of sharing with you email newsletters or marketing campaigns that may detail our services, special offers, updates, or educational content. All of which we believe is relevant and that you will find useful. 

When you fill out our data collection forms, we ask for consent of collection, recording and accessing your data through your agreement to our privacy policy. 

By submitting a query or requesting information, we will respond to you via the personal data you have provided. We may send you follow-up emails to ensure that we have satisfied your reason for enquiring. 

You are able to unsubscribe from our database and request for us to delete a record of your details at any time by emailing hello@theeventcrowd.com

2.5.3 What do we do with your data?

All the data we have collected from you is stored within our database that is held within a third party Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system “Freshworks CRM”. Freshworks CRM stores your data on behalf of Event Crowd and does not have rights to access or share your data. We do not share your data with any third parties and your data is kept within the EU. 

When you fill out our data collection forms, we ask for consent of collection, recording and accessing your data through your agreement to our privacy policy.

2.5.4 How long do we store you information?

Your data is kept within our database for the duration of the use of our services (services include but are not limited to, the Event Crowd course, newsletter or communities) until you retract consent to using our services or keeping a record of your data.

2.6 PURCHASING SERVICES FROM EVENT CROWD

2.6.1 What personal information do we collect?

As an Event Crowd customer, by purchasing our services or products (including but not limited to online course) through the website, over email or over the phone, we ask for your personal details to develop a specific customer profile to allow access and use to your purchase. The information we collect from you includes but is not limited to, your full name, email address, contact number, date of birth or age, gender, employment or academic information, demographic information and payment card details. 

If purchasing our services or products through our website, we may also record your IP Address which details the internet location of your computer or device. 

2.6.2 Why do we collect this information?

We collect this information to process your purchase, satisfy order fulfilment and abide by our contract with you. For our customers to be satisfied by their purchase we must collect this data to allow them access to our online course system. 

We use your personal details to fulfil associated purchase tasks, such as but not limited to, sending a receipt or invoice, contacting you regarding your purchase to ensure you are happy and to ask if you required any support or had any questions. 

We record your IP address information to protect Event Crowd against fraud. 

As an online educational provider with third-party governing bodies to provide accreditation, we may share relevant data with awarding bodies for the purpose of certification. Examples include but are not limited to: The Chartered Institute of Marketing. 

2.6.3 Where do we store this information?

Your information is stored within our website to access our online course and within our database. This data is stored within the EU. 

Your payment is either collected through Stripe or Knoma, depending on whether you have decided to opt for an up-front full payment or to spread the costs over a certain period (Knoma option), both are based within the United Kingdom. We do not keep a record of your payment details. 

2.7 SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION

There may be specific instances where we require additional personal information from you with regard to any disabilities you may have. This information is solely collected for the purpose of providing equal opportunities to all of our students and to mitigate any chances of personal circumstances affecting your studies. 

We strive to foster and promote equality within our workplace and throughout our student and lecturer community. Under the Equality Act 2010 we entrust that each student has the right to be provided with an equal opportunity within their Event Crowd studies. 

The sensitive data collected is only allowed access by the lead data controller relevant to meeting your needs during your studies with us. This information is not shared internally.

2.8 YOUR RIGHTS

Under the 2018 GDPR and Data Protection Act you have the right to ask what information we have stored on you, you’re able to update your information if it is incorrect and request your personal record to be deleted should you wish to. 

On requesting your consent for obtaining, processing and accessing your information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. 

Your rights include the ability to ask us to stop using your data indefinitely or over a period of time, if you believe we are using it unlawfully.

2.9 COMPLAINTS

For complaints relating to how we process, store or handle your data please reach out to us directly within the first instance. We would hope to understand and address any issues you may have and resolve the complaint.

3.0 UPDATES

3.1 PURCHASES MADE VIA REED.CO.UK

Under this policy, you may cancel your purchase of the course within the period of 14 calendar days from the date on which the contract of purchase is concluded. This is called a “Cancellation Period”. Note that if you redeem your voucher during the Cancellation Period, you expressly request us to begin providing the course materials and you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel the purchase of the course and recieve any refund for it.
